Mark is a weekend dad. He is determined to play an important role in his son, Mikhi's upbringing but finds that services are not set up to help maintain cohesion for families that are separated.
Mark lives with his mum and shares a small bedroom with his son at weekends. There is little room to play or keep toys. Current housing policy does not recognise single dads as a priority group and Mark is on a 10 year waiting list for a home. When Mark's mum kicked him out he was told he would have to sleep rough for six months before he could be supported.
Mark works part time and does voluntary work. He'd like to do more training to get a better job but thinks that it would get in the way of him earning the money he needs to support his son.
